Senior Sales Specialist

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Sales Specialist to represent Advanced Electrophoresis Solutions Ltd. (AES) instruments and consumables and services. Duties include presenting AES capabilities in the marketplace, providing an interface to the end user customer, and representing AES products and services in an assigned territory includes east coast of USA and Canada.

Advanced Electrophoresis Solutions Ltd (AES) is a market leader for protein charge variant separation and characterization. AES has been working with leading biopharmaceutical research & producers answering their diversely urgent needs. AES has been providing critical reagents including a wide range of carrier ampholytes and pI markers supplied for essential lot release quality control (QC) of commercial therapeutic proteins, which saves millions of dollars for our customers for potential product disruption, exploration of replaced QC method, or file applications for revalidating SOPs to the regulatory agency. AES’s key product: CEinfinite system is the only one platform on the market for high throughput reliable analytical iCIEF and both online iCIEF-MS coupling and off-line preparative iCIEF to do cross verification and jointly conduct comprehensive and in-depth research on charge isomers.

Job Title:  Senior Sales Specialist

Location: Cambridge, ON

Summary: Promoting the sale of instruments and diverse consumable products in North America

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating existing and/or new sales for assigned named accounts or assigned geographic, territory, industry or accounts list.
  • Develop lead lists, work with managers, and Field Application Scientist to achieve quarterly and yearly sales quota
  • Use lead generation tools to research and build new accounts (i.e .sending emails, strategic calling, LinkedIn)
  • Build strong and long-term positive relationships with customers decision makers, influencers and stakeholders, maintaining their satisfaction.
  • Help customers to understand the usage of products, and get feedback from customers about products and services for future improvements
  • Continuously innovate the sales process to be at the forefront of sales, business and technology
  • This role may require travel more than 50% of the time

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of successful capital equipment sales experience

Preferred Requirements

  • Excellent written verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, enthusiastic, and outgoing
  • Willing & able to travel more than 50% of the time
  • Experience with key customers in the region
  • Experience utilizing a CRM tool such as Salesforce.
  • Working knowledge of the biopharma markets served
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license & a clean driving record
  • Thorough understanding of business factors effecting account’s profitability and competitive status
